2024-25 Alumni Association Year in Review

Published on October 13, 2025

As I reflect on the 2024-25 academic year, I return to the question at the heart of the year’s Notre Dame Forum, chosen by our University’s 18th president, Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., ’87: What do we owe each other?

In many ways, this year reminded us that the answer lies in community. From the honor of welcoming and celebrating Fr. Dowd’s inauguration, to the gatherings of alumni and friends around the world, the Notre Dame family continues to join one another in generosity, faith, and initiative.

That spirit was evident as we came together to support the Fighting Irish on their College Football Playoff journey and in their National Championship appearance. While the action on the field was well-known, our real victory was captured in the service and camaraderie demonstrated by alumni, students, and friends in the cities we visited and throughout the playoffs. In these moments, we witnessed our shared commitment to serve others, living out the very theme of last year’s Forum.

Within our Year in Review, you will read the many ways the Alumni Association has worked to strengthen communities and recognize those—from our mothers to our club leaders—who have inspired each of us to contribute to Notre Dame’s ongoing mission: to answer the call to be a force for good. I hope the progress we made together is resonant and demonstrates the many ways our community continues to grow and serve. Thank you for being an essential part of the Notre Dame story.

All the best,
