2015: Bob Sanford '40

 

Bob Sanford ’40 held the role of class secretary for 75 years. He started writing class columns for the Notre Dame Alumnus, which was a publication of the Alumni Association, after graduation, and he’s been writing the 1940 column for Notre Dame Magazine since its first issue in 1972. 

Sanford was unable to travel to South Bend in April 2015, so Dolly Duffy ’84, the Alumni Association’s executive director, traveled to Tucson to present the award in person:
