The Notre Dame Club spent a day on the build with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver recently building affordable homes for hard working families. The crew included alumni, current students and high school students – a great mix of skills, abilities, and willingness to do the work!  We climbed ladders and scaffolding, painted, cut boards, and installed siding. The day included a wonderful lunch from Modern Market and time spent with Habitat’s CEO Heather Lafferty, a future homeowner who shared his story, and Vic Lombardi (ND Class of 1991 and Emmy Winning Sportscaster) who stopped by to rally the volunteers.  Although the day was hot, we persevered with the help of some well-timed popsicles. Building for Habitat for Humanity is certainly a great way to join with family and friends to make a difference in our community.

Special Thanks to:

Rita Mohler, ND Class of 1985 for her great leadership and organization, Brian Grall, ND Class of 1984 for donating the volunteer tee shirts, Rob McColgan Class of 2002 and Modern Market for the delicious lunch meal. Date of the event was Friday, July 23rd.
