Masters in Management Seeking Student Mentors the Week of March 22

The Masters in Management second year students will be doing an international immersion for the spring interterm during the week of March 22.  Each student will work in teams with a live company case.  The professors would like to match each team with a Team Mentor, a seasoned business professional living in the region with business savvy to give students insight and ongoing feedback into their case work. The teams will be working with smaller, entrepreneurial, European companies, not large corporations.  They are looking for people with business acumen, problem solving ability and professionalism to work with a team as a mentor/coach. The majority of students do not have prior business experience and the mentors will help them start the transition from student to business professional.

The timing is as follows (all times Eastern):

  • Monday, March 22 (9:00am-12:30pm)
    • Presentation by companies, economic and geopolitical overview, and team time to work on the live case.
  • Tuesday, March 23 (Time TBD - 2.5-3.5 hours during the day to be determined by team and  mentor)
    • The team works on live case/deliverable (on this day, the Team Mentor would want to pop into the team's meeting and spend some time with them reviewing their work)
  • Wednesday, March 24 (9:00-10:00am + 2.5 hours of team time during the day to be determined by the team and mentor)
    • Additional business presentations from companies, as well as team time -- an Executive Summary Memo is due to the company by 5:00pm Eastern
    • Team Mentors should conduct a presentation run through with the team during team time
  • Thursday, March 25 (10:00-11:30am)
    • Final Presentations

If you can help out please email the club and we will get your details to the class coordinators on campus.
