March/April Events and Social Distancing

Mar 13, 2020

Dear Notre Dame Club of Ireland Members, Friends, and Family,

The past few days and weeks we, in Ireland, have been faced with uncertainty and confusion. The University of Notre Dame has taken steps to protect current students, including returning all study abroad students home and cancelling all on campus classes until April 13th. As of Thursday, March 12th, the government, in conjunction with public health and infectious diseases experts, have taken steps to delay spread of COVID-19 across the country. Schools and day cares are closed, everyone who can is working from home, and large gatherings have been cancelled. Everyone is being asked to practice social distance. And the Archbishop has ratified the cancellation of all public masses. The St. Patrick's Day celebrations across the country have been cancelled, in particular, the parades and festivals. Travel recommendations and restrictions are in constant fluctuation.

In the interest of the health and safety of all club members and their families, all club events are suspended until further notice.

Times of unprescidented health crises are few and far between, but they can seem isolating. Please look after yourselves. And should you have any questions or concerns, do reach out. We will do our best to assist.

Yours,
