Letter from the Executive Director: April 30, 2026
Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting 350 members of this community for our annual Alumni Association Leadership Conference. These alumni, parents, and friends are active leaders in their Notre Dame clubs, classes, and groups—volunteers who return to campus each year to share ideas, celebrate successes, and learn from campus experts as we carry out our collective mission to strengthen the bonds that unite the Notre Dame family.
For me, there is something uniquely revitalizing about each year’s conference. Over just a few days, I’m reminded that the passion, creativity, and love for Our Lady’s University displayed by our volunteer leaders are truly the lifeblood of all we do here. It’s the same spirit of service that motivates so many in the Notre Dame sphere to give back in their local communities, like the thousands who came together last Saturday during the ND Global Day of Service. What powerful examples of this community living out Father Sorin’s call to be forces for good!
My peers at other schools often tell me how much they envy our alumni. I can’t say I blame them. The passion for Notre Dame that those other alumni directors admire has been on full display lately. It’s a privilege to play a small part in stoking it.
All the best,
Dolly Duffy '84
