Established in 1985, the William D. Reynolds Award is conferred on an alumnus/alumna (living or deceased) doing exceptional work with youth for the betterment of the quality of life.

With this award, Peter Whitehouse, ‘64 is honored for a life of service as an educator, volunteer, mentor, and founder, and current president of the Christopher Whitehouse Foundation. Whitehouse is a retired teacher and track coach for the New York City Department of Education. The Christopher Whitehouse Foundation, named in honor of his deceased son, provides financial support through payments made to high school guidance counselors, to students at risk of losing educational and other opportunities due to adverse circumstances.
