Hello from The Shirt Project 2021!
The 31st edition of The Shirt saw perhaps the most unorthodox football season in Notre Dame’s illustrious history—despite the many trials and tribulations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Notre Dame football enjoyed an undefeated regular season, an unforgettable upset over top-ranked Clemson, and the second College Football Playoff appearance in school history. In this time of great uncertainty, when we have been required to temporarily forgo so many of our beloved traditions, The Shirt has continued to function as an important symbol of unity and strength for Notre Dame students, alumni, and fans across the country. The Shirt Project looks forward to honoring this legacy and continuing the tradition with The Shirt 2021.
Like last year, The Shirt will go on sale immediately after the Unveiling and retail at a price of $18. Each sale directly supports our mission of aiding student activities and organizations here at Notre Dame. Proceeds from sales of The Shirt support causes such as The Shirt Charity Fund, which helps students with unexpected medical expenses, and The Office of Student Enrichment, which offers programming and potential resources for members of the Notre Dame community who identify with the first-generation college and/or low-income student experience. Additionally, revenue from The Shirt goes to support the Undergraduate Student Union, which provides funds for student-led clubs and organizations. With a mission of enhancing student life at Notre Dame, The Shirt is more than just an article of clothing—it’s a wearable expression of support for Notre Dame students.
Individuals interested in purchasing The Shirt 2021 for themselves should pre-order through the Hammes Bookstore website. The link is live from mid-March up until the week of the Unveiling Ceremony. Alumni Club Presidents who are interested in placing a group order for their club can do so using the Online Student Shop Form.
We at the Shirt Committee are extremely grateful for the continued support of our alumni, and we cannot wait to share The Shirt 2021 with our Notre Dame family next month.
