Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
While many children will still be e-learning for at least the next few weeks, here at Notre Dame, the academic year came to a close last Friday. Tomorrow afternoon, the University will virtually confer degrees on the Class of 2020 through a
special livestream broadcast. This certainly was not the ceremony any of our students envisioned when they arrived on campus and moved into their residence hall, but as Fr. Jenkins announced several weeks ago, the University will hold a full commencement celebration for the Class of 2020 next May.
We know that our seniors, however, are not the only students who have been impacted. Let us pray for our ND graduates, but also for the seniors at other colleges, universities, and high schools around the country and the world. We invite you to
leave your words of encouragement or advice to members of the Class of 2020 on our Facebook page.
As these students contemplate their next steps and do their best to prepare for the unpredictability of the months ahead, may God grant them the courage and wisdom to navigate these transitions. And may we, the Notre Dame family, do all we can to celebrate them, support them, and encourage them.
Yours in Notre Dame,
