Update for the Notre Dame Family

Jul 16, 2020

Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends,

On Monday, the University entered Phase 3 of its campus reopening plan and announced its “Here” initiative calling on the Notre Dame community to rally together as we strive to cultivate a safe and healthy environment during the upcoming academic year. I encourage you to visit here.nd.edu and read to learn more.

When students return in early August, we will minimize the number of people on campus to limit the risk of a coronavirus outbreak across the University and broader South Bend community. Of course, the heightened restrictions on visitors impact so much of the work that we do and continue to spotlight the importance of our digital outlets — faith.nd.edu, think.nd.edu, irishcompass.nd.edu, and our social media. Watch for more programming from your Alumni Association throughout the fall.

The months ahead will not be what we're accustomed to, and we will dearly miss welcoming many of you into the Eck Visitors Center this fall. I can't imagine an entire fall without a smile and a hug from so many of you! And even though we'll be physically distant, we’re always here to help you stay connected to Notre Dame and to each other. May Our Lady continue to watch over you and your loved ones.

Yours in Notre Dame,
Dolly Duffy ’84
