Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
Last week, our team had the opportunity to help welcome the Class of 2024 to campus by passing out a special
Notre Dame Traditions book. From athletics cheers and signature dorm festivities, to tales about Fr. Sorin and Fr. Ted, the book details many of the events, customs, and experiences that are uniquely Notre Dame.
Central to many of those traditions are, of course, our Holy Cross roots and our Catholic character. One of my favorite faith traditions is our quarterly
FaithND Grotto prayer service. Led by a campus Holy Cross priest, each of these services focuses on a particular occasion — All Souls Day, Respect Life Week, Mother’s Day, and this week, the start of the new school year. We join in praying the Rosary, and then individually pray the thousands of prayers submitted by members of the Notre Dame family.
I invite you to virtually join us in prayer today at 12:30 p.m. ET on our Facebook page, or on-demand at any time.
Know of our prayers for you and your loved ones, most especially the students, teachers, administrators, coaches, and others navigating the unknowns of the new school year around the country and across the globe.
Yours in Notre Dame,
