Note from the organizer:

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to check in regarding tomorrow’s hike. I have been keeping an eye on the Air Quality Index due to the fires, and it looks like the forecast for tomorrow here in Boulder is Moderate, which is improved from earlier this week. There is a bit of haze this morning, but it honestly looks pretty good.

As a result, I’m planning to proceed with the hike as planned, and will look forward to hosting you all in the morning.

Temps will be hot tomorrow by the time we are finishing the hike, so please be sure to bring plenty of water!

See you all in the morning!

Regan

WHAT IS BLARNEY ANYWAY?

“Blarney” generally refers to smooth, flattering, or beguiling talk that is sometimes deceptive. It’s also associated with the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle in Ireland, where it’s said that kissing the stone grants one the gift of persuasive eloquence or “the gift of gab”

Have you ever kissed a blarney stone?

The Blarney Stone (Irish: Cloch na Blarnan) is a block of Carboniferous limestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle,Blarney, about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from Cork, Ireland. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of the gab - great eloquence or skill at flattery. Sounds like a typical Notre Dame graduate! The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. The castle is a popular tourist site in Ireland, attracting visitors from all over the world to kiss the stone and tour the castle and its gardens.
