CHRISTMAS GREETING FROM OUR CLUB PRESIDENT

Ye’ ND Faithful,

Let your hearts be light and your spirits burn bright this Christmas and Holiday Season! Thank you for a year dedicated to service and community spreading the Spirit that is Notre Dame here in Colorado.

Whether you volunteered, attended a game watch or ND Denver Club event or Hesburgh lecture, each of you are an important part of our ND community in one of the largest ND Alumni Clubs in the nation. We certainly had a lot of fun!

As Fr. Sorin shared in his vision for ND “This college will be one of the most powerful means for doing good in this country.” We have created success not just for ourselves, but for a greater community here in Colorado. It is a commitment that will help shape our world.

Thanks for carrying on as an unyielding force for good –

Merry Christmas & Go Irish!

We were able to awarded $163,000 among 47 Undergraduate Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Help to Give The Gift of Notre Dame on this Giving Tuesday by sending your generosity directly to campus. You can donate directly to the Club’s Bishop Evans Scholarship Fund (and also get credit for your required annual donation for football ticket lottery participation).

  • You don’t need to log in to donate!
  • There is no minimum amount to give!
  • You can use your credit card and get those airline/hotel points!
  • Your donation is fully tax deductible!

And, of course, there was the seasonally mandatory ugly Christmas Sweater contest!

Many thanks to the dynamic duo of Club President, Timi Aguilar, and Club Director, Keira O’Connor, for making this all happen.

WHAT A SEASON FOR HANNAH HIDALGO

The freshman out of South Jersey earned the conference honor on Monday after posting 23 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals in a dominant 76-39 victory over Purdue last weekend. In doing so, Hidalgo became the first player in women’s college basketball to have at least 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals since January 2022.

Sunday’s performance was Hidalgo’s eighth game this year with at least 20 points, passing Skylar Diggins-Smith for the most 20-point games as an Irish rookie since at least 1999. On the topic of Diggins-Smith, she holds the Irish freshman record for steals in a year (90). Hidalgo is currently sitting at 55 just nine games into this season.

As of Dec. 18, Hidalgo continues to lead the ACC in scoring (23.6 points per game) and the nation in steals (6.1 per game). She leads all conference rookies with 5.8 assists per contest and ranks third overall in the ACC.
