ALUMNI FOOTBALL TICKET LOTTERY AND THE BISHOP EVANS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

MAKING YOUR DONATION WORK HARDER...AND SMARTER!

Each year, there is a required minimum donation to the University in order to qualify for the Annual Alumni Ticket Lottery for home football games. The minimum donation levels for the 2024 Football Ticket are:

Class Year 1973 and earlier Class Years - $100.00

Class years 1974 - 2013 - $200.00

Class Years 2014 - 2023 - $100.00

Non Alums can qualify by making a minimum $1,500.00 donation

We were able to awarded $163,000 among 47 Undergraduate Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Help to Give The Gift of Notre Dame on this Giving Tuesday by sending your generosity directly to campus. You can donate directly to the Club’s Bishop Evans Scholarship Fund (and also get credit for your required annual donation for football ticket lottery participation).

  • You don’t need to log in to donate!
  • There is no minimum amount to give!
  • You can use your credit card and get those airline/hotel points!
  • Your donation is fully tax deductible!

NOTRE DAME CLUB OF DENVER ANNUAL ANGELS AMONG US PROGRAM

BEING A FORCE FOR GOOD

Thanks to the generosity of Club Officers, Directors and Members, as well as our corporate partners, we have successfully continued one of our great Club traditions.  We are making Christmas wishes come true for 249 “Angels” in six Archdiocese of Denver Parochial Schools. This year we will touch the lives of “Angels” at Annunciation School, Assumption School, St. Rose of Lima, Wellspring Catholic Academy at St. Bernadette’s, Escuela de Guadalupe and Guardian Angels.

We will present a photo celebration of Angels Among Us.  We have made Christmas a little brighter for our “Angels'' for over 25 years and have put big smiles on literally thousands of kiddos.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES HAS ELECTED ROBERT A. DOWD, CSC AS THE 18TH  PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME

The Board of Trustees of the University of Notre Dame has elected Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., as the University’s 18th president, effective July 1. He will succeed Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., who announced in October that he will step down at the end of the 2023-24 academic year after serving as president for 19 years.

“We are thrilled that Father Dowd will be Notre Dame’s next leader,” said Jack Brennan, chair of Notre Dame’s Board of Trustees. “His character and intellect, along with his broad academic and administrative experience and his deep commitment to Notre Dame, make him an ideal person to lead the University into the future.

A new gateway to the University of Notre Dame continues the University’s long legacy of commitment to the arts. Welcoming visitors from across the country, the new Raclin Murphy Museum of Art opened it's doors to the public Friday (Dec. 1).

The new 70,000-square-foot building on the northeast corner of Eddy Street and Angela Boulevard is designed by the award-winning firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA). Recognized as a leader in classical-inspired architecture, RAMSA has designed an expanded home for the University’s robust art collections that honors both tradition and innovation. The building’s brick, cast stone and Indiana limestone exterior blends with other historic buildings on campus. The new museum, occupying a prominent intersection where the University’s campus meets the greater community, will anchor and function as a gateway to an expanding on-campus arts district.

PERHAPS A SURPRISING SELECTION BUT STILL A BOWL GAME . . . .

BUT CAN WE REALLY SAY GRRREAT?

There was actually some drama in Notre Dame ending up in the Sun Bowl.

There was a blind draw between 3 bowls to land Notre Dame and the Sun Bowl won. Sun Bowl told a local El Paso TV station that the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium couldn’t decide if they wanted to be in the drawing or not since they will host Notre Dame in a game next season. So in a bizarre twist, the Sun Bowl might have confirmed that the Irish will play a regular season game at Yankee Stadium next season!

How’s this . . . . Notre Dame being a possibility for the Sun Bowl was so unexpected the bowl didn’t even have a helmet for Notre Dame for their big press conference reveal!

The Sun Bowl committee also said that when Notre Dame was last in the Sun Bowl in 2010, it provided the greatest economic impact in Sun Bowl history for the city of El Paso.

The Irish will face Oregon State December 29th at 2pm ET. The game will be televised on CBS.

NOW IT’S REALLY GETTING CROWDED IN THE TRANSFER PORTAL

IT’S GETTING HARD TO KEEP UP!

Now an even dozen Irish Footballers have entered the portal!

Chris Tyree - Zeke Correll - Nana Osafo-Mensah - Aidan Keanaaina - Ramon Henderson

Tobias Merriweather - Braylon James - Rico Flores, Jr. - Holden Staes

Joey Tanona - Antonio Carter

Will There Be More ...?

And . . . still waiting to hear if Junior Audric Estime Will Declare For The NFL Draft?

Stay Tuned...

Blessing of the Advent Wreath

In Old Ireland, it was believed that wee fairy folk found shelter from the cold in the holly wreath. Today, no Irish Christmas would be complete without the Advent Wreath. Let us bless our wreath. "Father, all powerful Lord of Light, bless our wreath with its candles. May our Advent be a time of preparation.”
