High Tea and Guided Tour of the Center for Colorado Women’s History

We had a sold-out Notre Dame Women Connect event for Women’s History Month thanks to NDCD Board members Claire Kenkel and Lori Christiansen. With help from Lori, Claire spearheaded a private tour of History Colorado's Center for Colorado Women’s History. Alumnae and women friends of University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College and Holy Cross College gathered on Saturday 3/23 in an 1883 Italianate style home in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver for the tour, which was immediately followed by a two course tea featuring savory and sweet tea fare prepared by locally owned and woman-led catering company, Miss Peabody’s Southern Tea Cakes and the museum's signature Lady Lavender black tea. Thank you to everyone who participated! We had such a lovely time!

2025 Women Connect Spring Shared Read

ND Women Connect invites you to join the 2025 Spring Shared Read: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. Alumni and friends are invited to read this novel (or watch the miniseries on Apple TV+) and engage virtually with others around the country beginning March 20, 2025. For the first time, this Shared Read will be offered in conjunction with ThinkND and "Women's Work" - a new undergraduate course.

We will have a fun outing and discussion locally at the conclusion of the spring read session!

Please follow along at the dedicated private Facebook group for the NDWC Shared Read Spring 2025 and also take a look at the shared reading schedule here. At that same link, please be sure to check out the podcast, and an opportunity to be interviewed by current ND students about what constitutes “Women’s Work”

Please contact Sue O'Brien ('95) at [email protected] with any questions.

New advances in AI continue to bring a surprising array of opportunities and challenge to how we work, play and interact with machines and each other. The nature of information, trust, social discourse, appropriate work and learning, and many other themes are changed in the light of the new AI. To address these challenges, we need to bring to bear the full range of technology-informed liberal arts to face the psychological, economic, social, philosophical and educational impacts of these systems. Explore and examine AI in our lives from all angles.

Parking information and location of lecture space on Regis University’s campus is forthcoming.

FIGHTING IRISH SPORTS

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

For the 21st time in program history, the Lady Irish will be competing in the Sweet Sixteen. We are on the court this Saturday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. Denver Time. The Irish will take on the Lady Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University. The game is on ABC and there will be an informal Game Watch at Tom’s Watch Bar.

Who Are The Lady Frogs?

Women's Basketball - TCU Athletics

With a victory over the Horned Frogs, the Irish would move on to play the winner of the Texas vs Tennessee matchup in the Elite Eight. That game will be played on Monday, March 31st. We do not have an exact game time but we do know that game will be carried on ESPN. We plan to gather again informally at Tom’s Watch Bar to cheer on our Lady Irish.
