Dear Notre Dame Club of Denver and Tri-Campus Family:
A belated wish for awesome things for you in this new year!
January 2025 was certainly a memorable month to experience, and in that vein, I’d like to start a new habit in 2025 of reflecting on our Club’s activities, our commitment to the Notre Dame family here at 5280, and my favorite memories about our Club from the previous month.
First, introductions and commemorations are in order. I invite you to follow along, even though said introductions are incredibly tardy. Our 2023-2024 Club year concluded on June 30th, 2024. With that conclusion, a new Board of Directors and a new set of Board Officers were elected for the 2024-2025 Club year. More on that in a bit.
I’d like to extend heartfelt thanks and a huge round of gratitude to Past President Timi Aguilar , ND 1991 who remains on our current board in the Past President role and also our Diversity Coordinator. Next, another huge round of gratitude to our outgoing Board Member and Senior Alumni Coordinator, Mike Boone, ND 1966.
From their NDCD colleagues and friends:
“Timi did a great job promoting the Club and represented being a ‘Force for Good’ in our community. She made ND students and Alumni feel welcomed and supported. She rallied support around events like the ND Glee Club visit in early 2024 and gathered consensus about addressing ways to improve initiatives like our membership. She really cares and wants to make the Club more inclusive. I appreciate her efforts to engage the Tri-Campus Community. She was also very involved with the Bridge Students this summer connecting them with local politicians and others who are involved with the unhoused community. Also, she attended the annual Alumni Conference on campus in April and represented our Denver Club.”
“I have had the privilege to serve as a senior board member for the Notre Dame Club of Denver with Mike Boone, a man of class and high integrity. He always displayed a positive attitude and treated everyone with respect. He has led a life of service that includes serving in the Army Signal Corp (communications) in Vietnam to Notre Dame Senior Alumni Regional Director. A Force For Good. He is the type of person we should all aspire to be. He will be sorely missed, especially by us.”

My View From Here - January 2025
View from my Rearview Mirror: Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football - an incredible journey! Thank you for your support at our Club game watches at Tom’s Watch Bar Coors Field and for all the pictures you sent from your various trips to campus and CFP games! We love seeing our #DenverDomers out representing the Irish!
My Current View: Notre Dame Women’s Basketball - I tune into IG every day to see how these incredible scholar athletes and their incredible coach are absolutely crushing their season. My small claim to fame: I was Coach Niele Ivey’s freshman year R.A.; she set the school record for number of steals and assists in a season: 95 and 247 respectively. I look forward to some dedicated NDWBB game watches here in Denver as we approach their post-season.
View from my Horizon - we have so much to look forward to this winter and spring! Celebration of Black History Month, Women’s History Month, the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade, our annual Global Day of Service - we would love to see you at our events! See all the details here at our dedicated Events page.
Go IRISH! ☘️
