The University of Notre Dame is a powerful force for good in our world, and service and volunteerism are part of the fabric that makes up the Notre Dame family. They are woven throughout one’s interaction with the University:

  • From our admissions presentations that highlight the amazing service that current students perform
  • To individuals who act as volunteer leaders within our Notre Dame Clubs network
  • To alumni who return to campus with their spouses and children to participate in Family Volunteer Camp

The service program of the Alumni Association aims to engage alumni, parents and friends in meaningful service opportunities across the globe. We help connect people with opportunities to serve in an effort to increase awareness of the root causes of societal problems and inspire individuals to promote lasting social change. We strive to follow the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching by stepping out of ourselves to create an option for the poor, to promote the dignity of the human person, to defend life, to be good stewards of God’s creation, to stand in solidarity with those who may not have a voice of their own. Our work is done in the name of Our Lady, Notre Dame. We know our hands and hearts are doing the work of Christ, her son.
