Notre Dame Family Wines

Throughout history, loving families and close friends have served wine to celebrate accomplishments, mark milestones, and enjoy each other’s company. Since its founding in 1842, the University of Notre Dame has greatly valued family and hospitality.

Notre Dame Family Wines celebrates both of these traditions. The program, launched in 2015, showcases the wonderful wines produced by alumni and friends of Notre Dame. It offers yet another opportunity for the global Notre Dame family to feel connected to the University and to each other.

The 2016 collection was chosen through a tasting on Notre Dame’s campus in February. More than 40 wines, all from wineries with deep connections to the Notre Dame family, were tasted by Notre Dame judges. The five wines chosen offer great taste and high quality at a range of price levels and include the 2013 CrossBarn Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon (93 points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate) and the 2013 Brutocao Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon (90 points, Wine Enthusiast).

Proceeds benefit financial aid for Notre Dame students and Notre Dame Alumni Association programming.
