It didn't take long for Nathan Rose to make an impact at Notre Dame. Just a few months after joining the faculty, he became the first member of the department to have a study published in the journal Science. Lee Anna Clark, chair of the department and the William J. and Dorothy K. O'Neill Professor of Psychology, will receive two major lifetime achievement awards this year, reflecting the way her work has bridged the areas of personality psychology and psychopathology. Read more

NIH awards $3 million to Shaw Center for Children and Families

The National Institutes of Health have awarded three Notre Dame psychologists with a five-year, $3 million grant for a study of relationships between parents and infants. Faculty members Julie Braungart-Rieker, E. Mark Cummings, and Lijuan Wang will lead the study, the first of its kind to include fathers as well as mothers as participants. Read more
For Katie Paige and Laura Heiman, research has shaped their Notre Dame experiences and their futures. The two psychology majors have written senior theses and worked closely with faculty members as they study topics ranging from depression to development. Read more
